Well, it's the very first blog entry!
Who am I?
I’m Tyson Sherwood and I’m a Real Estate Investor here in Tucson, AZ. What I like to do is find creative solutions for the challenges in today’s market. By linking up with others in the business I’ve learned a lot about my own, and it’s exciting to see where things are going. I’ve been in Real Estate for over 10 years now, initially as a Mortgage Broker, and then transitioning into an investing role. I’ve seen the market change in about a dozen ways since I first started out, and have adapted and changed my business to accommodate those shifts. My current focus is on Lease Options, but I still won’t pass up a good wholesaling deal if it crosses my path! Outside of Real Estate, I am a husband to my wife (and business partner) Kyleen. We have a 1-year-old son, with another baby on the way. So who am I? I’m a very busy man! Why am I blogging?
I want a better way to connect with several people at once. This blog will be a landing spot for my Team to come for current events and upcoming activities, as well as to check in for training and tips. If this is for my Team, why am I opening it up to everyone? Because there are more Real Estate Master Minds than just my friends here in Tucson! It’s always a good thing to share what you know, and to learn from others… Networking is one of the essential keys (if not THE essential key) to success in this business.
What will I be blogging about?
Since this is a blog for Real Estate Investor Master Minds, the topics will largely be informational resources for training purposes, or for giving more insight to those working in the field. Even if you’re not one of my Team Members, you’re welcome to read and post freely. Most of the information will be general, but for certain things I’ll be tailoring it for my Team’s market (here in Tucson, AZ). I’ll be sharing my own experiences as an REI, what’s going on with my Team (including announcements for upcoming events and trainings), and information regarding various Real Estate Investing points (what it is, how to do it, techniques, etc). Topics will range from the basic “The Value of Bird Dogs” to questions like, “How do I structure a lease option deal?”

One of the coolest features of having a blog is that I’ll get to interact with everyone in a whole new way. It’s one of the things I’m most excited about. I don’t want it to be one-sided, so feel free to leave comments on any of my posts. Aside from basic announcements, all posts will be open for comment. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! If you have suggestions for a blog topic, or want to know more about something specific, you’re more than welcome to submit those ideas and I will consider a way to introduce and explore that topic in an upcoming entry. If you don’t feel comfortable posting a public comment, just shoot me an email (olivebranch629@gmail.com) and I’ll get back to you that way. Please indicate in the email whether or not you’re okay with me posting a public entry regarding your question or comment… If you want it kept private, just say so in the email and I won’t mention your name. Even if you don’t agree with me, or if you have an idea of how something may work better or be more effective, by all means – comment about that, too! This is pretty much an open forum for exchanging ideas and learning more about real estate entrepreneurship, so the floor is yours, too!
